Egypt to India Travel

Egypt has transfixed visitors for centuries with the pyramids (Cairo), and royal tombs and temples (Luxor, Edfu, Aswan). Jordan is a natural extension with Petra, Jerash, Dead Sea, and Amman.  Israel's prominence in three of the world's leading religions gives Jerusalem significance. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain have created brand new attractions from the desert sand. Syria, Oman, and Lebanon are the new "must see" locations. 

India is best known for Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal) and Jaipur. But don`t forget the royal cities of Udaipur and Jodhpur, Varanasi's cremation ghats on the Ganges, and Khajuraho's array of temples. Southern India is famous for houseboats floating in Kerala, the beaches of Goa, temples of Maduri, and the Dutch outpost of Kochi. Nepal's capital Kathmandu is a mix of temples, stupas, cafes, and the base for hiking trips to Everest or Anapurna.  Other signts include Maldives unspoiled beaches, the remote empire of Bhutan, and the newly re-emerging Sri Lanka.
